Terms
Terms of participation
By registering for DojoCert or taking part in DojoLand classes, you accept the terms below. Please read them carefully.
Last updated: September 19, 2026
1. Purpose
These terms govern participation in the training sessions, events and activities organized by the association DOJOLAND ("DojoLand"), registered under No. ASSO-110343 with its head office in Cotonou, and the use of the DojoCert certification.
2. Acceptance of risk
Martial arts and combat sports carry inherent risks of injury, including contact, falls, sprains, fractures or trauma. By taking part, you acknowledge these risks and voluntarily accept them with full knowledge.
3. Physical fitness
You declare that you are in good physical condition to practice your chosen sport. We recommend a medical check-up before starting. You agree to tell your coach about any health condition or injury that could affect your practice, and to stop if you feel unwell or in pain.
4. Rules and discipline
You agree to follow your coaches' instructions, safety rules, and to respect equipment and other athletes. DojoLand may suspend or exclude anyone whose behavior endangers others or disrupts classes.
5. Minor athletes
For an athlete under 18, a parent or legal guardian must be informed of the registration and of these terms, and accept them on the minor's behalf, including the acceptance of risks described above. Depending on age, they fill in the registration themselves (young children) or confirm it after the minor has entered their details (teenagers): in both cases, registering confirms that the parent or guardian is aware and agrees.
6. Liability
DojoLand uses reasonable means to keep training safe: coaching, suitable instructions and equipment. By taking part, you accept the normal and foreseeable risks of the chosen discipline; DojoLand is not responsible for accidents that result from them, nor for lost or stolen personal belongings. However, DojoLand remains responsible for its own faults, in particular any breach of its duty of safety, and nothing in these terms limits the rights the law gives you. We strongly recommend taking out personal accident insurance.
7. Photos and videos
Photos and videos may be taken during classes and events to promote DojoLand (website, social media, brochures). You authorize this use. For a minor, this authorization is given by their parent or guardian. You can withdraw it at any time by writing to us, and we will stop any new publication of your image.
8. Memberships and payments
Plans, prices and commitment periods are those shown on the Pricing page and confirmed at your in-person registration. All sales (memberships, classes and shop items) are final and non-refundable, subject to the rights Beninese law gives you as a consumer, in particular for a defective product or a service we failed to provide. For any question about a membership, or if there is a problem, contact us: we consider each situation in good faith.
9. DojoCert
You certify that the information provided when registering for DojoCert is accurate. DojoLand may suspend or withdraw a DojoCert card in case of false information or behavior contrary to the academy's values.
10. Use of the website and DojoCert
Use of the dojo-land.com website, the DojoCert lookup and verification feature, and the online registration area is limited to personal, lawful use consistent with their purpose: viewing academy information, registering for DojoCert, and verifying a certification. You agree to provide accurate information, not to attempt to access accounts or data other than your own, and not to use automated means (bulk scraping, bots) to collect content from the site or the DojoCert directory. The text, images, logos and graphic elements of the site are the property of DojoLand or its licensors and may not be reproduced without written permission. DojoLand may change, suspend or discontinue all or part of the site at any time, in particular for maintenance, without liability for any temporary unavailability. Information published on the site and in the DojoCert directory is provided "as is", based on the academy's records, and may be corrected or updated at any time.
11. Personal data
How your data is processed is described in our privacy policy.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by Beninese law. Any dispute falls under the competent courts of Cotonou, after an attempt at amicable settlement.
