FAQ
DojoCert: your questions
Everything to know before you register.
What is DojoCert?+
DojoCert is DojoLand's official certification for martial arts athletes in Cotonou. It gives you a verified identity, a recognised digital card and more opportunities for competitions and events.
How do I register for DojoCert?+
In four steps: 1. your phone number, 2. verification by WhatsApp, 3. your information, 4. your DojoCert card. Everything is done online, on this page. A step-by-step tutorial is there if you need it.
Do I have to be a DojoLand member to get DojoCert?+
No. DojoCert is open to all athletes, from any club, discipline and level. You do not need to train at DojoLand.
Is DojoCert free?+
Yes, registering for DojoCert is free.
What is the difference between DojoCert and DojoCert+?+
DojoCert gives official recognition as an athlete, access to events and to the DojoLand community. With DojoCert+ you also get a physical card with your personal information and a link to your personal page on our website, plus priority access to events. It is granted by the DojoLand team after your identity is checked at the academy.
Why is my number verified by WhatsApp?+
So we are sure we can reach you: to invite you to events and competitions and keep you informed. It also makes sure every card matches a real person.
Can my child register?+
Yes, but athletes under 18 need the agreement of a parent or guardian: their contact details are asked during registration. For minors, only the first name and the initial of the surname appear on public pages, with an illustration in place of the photo.
What information is public?+
First and last name for adults (first name and initial for minors), nickname, photo, sports, club, coach, role, DojoCert status and age. Your phone number, e-mail, date of birth, city and contacts are never public. During registration a preview shows exactly how your card will look in the public space, and you choose whether to appear in the public list.
How can I check that a DojoCert card is genuine?+
Scan the QR code on the card, or tap it on an NFC-enabled phone: the link opens its official page on dojo-land.com, showing the holder's name, sports and status.
Is DojoCert+ free too?+
Yes, DojoCert+ is free as well.
How long until I get my card?+
Your digital card is available as soon as you register. To get the DojoCert+ physical card, apply for it during registration: our team will issue it as soon as possible.
